Days of the Week Wheel: Random Day Picker
Some decisions are not hard, they are just tiring. Days of Week loads the seven days into the wheel so you can stop negotiating and start spinning — the day picks itself.
What it is and how to use it
Select Days of Week from the presets and the wheel fills with Monday through Sunday, one day per slice. Spin, and the pointer stops on a single day. It works in the browser, needs no install, and a basic spin needs no account.
The list stays editable. Delete the days that are simply not possible, rename them to something like "weekday shift" or "weekend duty", or replace the whole set with your own entries. You can also drop the wheel to five slices if weekends are never in play. Save it to your free account and the setup is waiting for you next time.
When it comes in handy
- Chore rotas — hand out one day at a time until the week is covered.
- Themed days — set a small rule for a class or a group chat, like "wear red on the day the wheel picks".
- Scheduling tie-breakers — when several days would all work, one spin ends the back-and-forth.
- Choosing a day off — pick a day for the thing you keep putting off.
Get better results
If every day needs to be assigned something and none should repeat, turn on elimination mode: the day that just came up leaves the wheel, so the remaining ones keep their turn.
When you are handing out days to several people in a row, fast speed keeps things moving. When the result deserves a little drama, slow is better.
In a group chat or a classroom, add a title such as "Chores this week" so anyone joining mid-spin understands what the wheel is deciding.
It also helps to spin the whole week in one sitting rather than coming back to it every day. Once the days are handed out, the scheduling argument is over and everyone can see how it was decided.
