Emotion Wheel: Name the Feeling

When someone asks how you are, "fine" comes out easily and the actual word is harder to find. The Emotions preset puts a set of feeling words on the wheel, so a group โ or just you โ gets one word to start from. It is a simple prompt for naming a feeling, not a diagnosis, an assessment, or any kind of therapy.
What it is and how to use it
RandomWheelGame is free, runs in your browser, and a basic spin needs no account. Emotions is a built-in preset: select it and feeling words are loaded into the wheel, one per slice. Spin, and one word comes up at random.
The preset is only a starter list. Edit it to match the language your group actually uses โ add the words people say, remove the ones that do not fit, or load a completely different list. Save the wheel to a free account and it is there for the next session.
Speed, sound, a color theme, gaps between slices, a title, deduplicate, clear, and import or export are all available if you want to shape it further.
When it is worth using
The wheel is a prompt, so it fits any group that would rather have one word than an open question.
- A classroom wants to open a discussion about feelings with a neutral, low-pressure starter.
- A meeting or workshop needs a quick icebreaker that is not about work.
- A group is deciding what to talk about next, and one word is enough to begin.
- You want a personal check-in and a single word is easier to answer than a long question.
Tips for a better result
- Treat the word as a starting point for conversation, not a verdict โ anyone can pass, or ask for another spin.
- Rewrite the list in your own vocabulary; the preset is generic by design.
- Keep the speed calm and the sound low when the room is quiet.
- Use elimination mode if you want each word to come up only once in a session; winners are removed from the wheel.
The aim is simply to get a word said out loud. open the wheel and try it with the group you have.
